'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the maiden significant achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he earlier was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
